Arm-und Handtraining

The ArmeoSpring is suitable for patients who can already undertake initial active movements of impaired arms and hands. The device offers various therapy exercises in order to expand the working area and the selective control of the restricted hand and arm functions through self-initiated movements.

The ArmeoPediatric® guides the entire arm from the shoulder down to the hand and thus counteracts the force of gravity of the arm. The aim is to permit an intensive and above all self-initated training in a three-dimensional space as early as possible, i.e. even if the patient only has a very small residual motor function.

The motivating, self-initiated exercises include:

  • gripping and letting go
  • wrist flexion/extension
  • reaching and gripping exercises
Lost motion patterns are thus trained and re-instructed. To solve the tasks, the patient has to work cognitively, implement strategies independently and couple the visual feedback with their own movements.
